IMPORTANT INTERNET POLICY NOTIFICATION -- PLEASE READ

The Internet is a vast system of networks connecting sites all over the world. The cumulative informational resources available through the Internet exceed those available at or through any singular site in the world. However, the Internet also includes numerous sites established for commercial and/or entertainment purposes.

Alalinc is an extension of the State Law Library. As such, its Internet services are designed for and intended to be used for the purposes of legal and/or educational research. To that end, Alalinc's Administrator and System Operator reserve the right to limit (block) access to any site that, in either of their opinions, is not compatible with the design and intent of the service. Users who become aware of such sites are encouraged to advise Alalinc's Administrator and/or System Operator of the same.

While use of the internet through Alalinc is relatively simple and straightforward, it's recommended that users who desire to use Alalinc's Internet access have or pursue an independent knowledge of connectivity to and use of the Internet. Alalinc's technical staff will continue to provide technical support as is reasonably possible; however, it is not our intent to provide the level of assistance for Internet users as one would typically expect to receive from general commercial providers.

If a user objects to any aspect of Alalinc's Internet policies, said user SHOULD NOT request access to Internet services through Alalinc. Rather, the user should seek to secure access to the Internet through a local commercial Internet provider.
